Zila Launch Screen

The Problem Statement

There are currently no applications that facilitate a campus exclusive, student-based buying/selling hub in an efficient and safe manner. The app requires student verification to ensure a safe environment for all users.

Existing C2C marketplace apps require a paid subscription and/or have minimal security measures.

Zila Discover Feed

The Solution

To design an app that facilitates a campus exclusive, student-based buying and selling hub. The most important feature is the homepage of the app, which is divided into 3 color-coded sections: Buy, Rent, and Services. Users can browse listed items for sale or rent as well as services students are offering.

Users can narrow down their search with the help of the Discover page’s categories feature.

Make a Listing

The Zila app puts the power in students' hands. With one click users are able to create listings by clicking the Listings menu tab and start earning money!

Accounts

The Accounts tab gives users the ability to change profile settings, view their listings as well as liked items, and set preferences within the app.

The final prototype was built by me and a team member. The walkthrough video is narrated by my team member.
